At Amberly Learning, we respect your privacy. This short guide explains how we use anonymous data to improve our free English Placement Test.
When you take our placement test, we automatically generate a random session ID. This helps us track how many people finish the test and which questions are too hard or too easy. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal details to take the test. All test responses are stored entirely anonymously.
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with Consent Mode v2. GA4 loads on all page visits, but starts in fully denied (cookieless) mode — no cookies are set and no personal data is stored until you make a choice. Visitors in the EU, UK, EEA, and Switzerland see a consent banner; outside these regions, analytics are enabled automatically since local law does not require one. If you accept cookies (or are outside a consent-required region), GA4 upgrades to full cookie-based tracking. If you decline, GA4 continues in cookieless mode only, allowing Google to model aggregate conversion rates without storing anything on your device. We also record an anonymous, consent-free ping when you complete the placement test; this ping carries no persistent identifiers and is used only to measure campaign effectiveness. We never sell your data.
