What does A1 mean?

A1 is the first level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). An A1 learner can introduce themselves, ask and answer simple personal questions and understand familiar words and very basic phrases, as long as the other person speaks slowly and clearly.

What does the A1 English test cover?

At A1, small words carry big meaning. Read each sentence aloud in your head and check that the subject and verb agree before you choose.
